Filing a DMCA notice

Send a written notification by email to hello@afterfortyfeel.com with subject line "DMCA Notice" containing:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
  3. The URL on afterfortyfeel.com of the allegedly infringing content (be specific).
  4. Your contact information: name, address, phone, email.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

We respond to valid notices within 7 business days, typically by removing or disabling access to the allegedly infringing material while we investigate.

Counter-notice

If you believe content was removed in error, you can file a counter-notice. Send to hello@afterfortyfeel.com with subject line "DMCA Counter-Notice" containing:

  1. Your signature.
  2. Identification of the removed content and where it appeared.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the content was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, phone, and consent to jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if outside the US, the federal court for any district in which we may be found).

Repeat infringers

In appropriate circumstances we terminate access for users or contributors who are repeat infringers.

Fair use

We rely on fair use for short quotations from research papers, public statements, and similar materials. If you believe we've exceeded fair use, the DMCA notice procedure above is the right channel.
